Calligraphy Revisions & Proofs

Clear, simple guidelines for reviewing your artwork

Every calligraphy piece includes a proof stage so you can review your artwork before final delivery. This page explains what’s included, what counts as a small adjustment, and what happens after approval.

Proof Delivery

Your initial calligraphy proof will be delivered within 3–5 business days.

You will receive:

  • One proof

  • Black text on a white background

This proof allows you to review the layout and ensure everything looks correct.

Small Adjustments (Included)

You’ll have 2 business days to request small layout adjustments.

These are quick refinements that do not require re‑writing or re‑flowing the entire piece.

Each item below is a small calligraphy adjustment:

  • Centered vs. left‑aligned

  • Slight spacing adjustments

  • Adjusting line spacing slightly

  • Fixing a minor spacing inconsistency

  • Increasing or decreasing margin space

  • Correcting a single punctuation mark

  • Adjusting flourish size or removing a flourish

These are the kinds of changes that don't take long and do not alter the structure of the lettering.

Large Adjustments (Paid Revision)

Large adjustments require re‑flowing the layout or rewriting sections of the text.

These changes take significantly more time and are considered paid revisions.

Each item below is a large calligraphy adjustment:

  • Adding or removing a word

  • Adding or removing a sentence

  • Fixing a missing line

  • Rewriting a section for clarity

  • Changing the order of lines or paragraphs

  • Re‑formatting the entire layout

  • Adjusting for newly provided text

  • Any change that shifts line breaks across the page

These revisions require rebuilding the layout, which is why they fall under paid adjustments.

After Approval

Once you approve your proof:

  • Your final files will be delivered via email

  • Any additional changes require a paid revision
